UPDATE – I just got off the phone with the MSDN speaker and he’s adding content on Azure, Microsofts new cloud architecutre. The last time a Microsoft representative was in San Luis Obispo was a couple weeks before the Azure announcment so this is our first oppurtunity to hear about Azure without traveling.
This is big news for the San Luis Obispo technology community. This is the first MSDN event in the San Luis Obispo area ever. Those of us in the SLO community need to do everything we can to get as many people as we can out to this event. Whether your a .Net developer or not we need to give companies every reason possible to hold technology events in the SLO area.
I also find that regardless of the technology being presented every developer can gain some knowledge from events like these. I’m a .Net developer by trade but I still really enjoy attending events about PHP, Ruby, or Java (for example). Often I get more out of presentations that are in “competing” languages because I get to see how developers from other communities approach problems.
Microsoft Developer Evangelist Daniel Egan (http://www.dotnetdoc.com) will be presenting on:
Daniel will not only be talking about the future, he will also discuss some recent releases that you can take advantage of now, including the current ASP.Net 4.0 codeplex releases.
Come and learn about what’s coming in the dotnet framework and meet your fellow SLO county geeks.
Let’s do what we can to get a good attendance at this event to encourage future companies to have technology related events in San Luis Obispo.
